Affectionately known as the curly red head, Jenny has developed a passion for incorporating music and movement into her teaching practice. She understands the power behind learning any new skills when combined with a love for music, for both children and adults. As a busy mom of 3 young kids, she has seen first hand the impact that music and movement have on daily life, and builds them into her own routines. She has spent over 13 years working directly with children of all ages to foster a love of music and movement so that they can reach their full potential. Jenny continues to put her personal enjoyment, and musical training, into every lesson and shares her experience on Instagram and Facebook. She founded Sweet Sounds Music School to provide a place where her passion and student learning can be used to enrich people’s lives. 

I offer three types of lessons:

MUSIC  PLAY  (0 to 4 Years)

Music  Play  Classes are designed for children ages 0 to 4 years along with their caregivers. In this program we sing, dance, and play instruments in a group setting. Our classes include a wide variety of activities that will reinforce both musical and age appropriate development skills. Classes are approximately 45 minutes in length, and the course runs for six weeks.  

KEYBOARD  GAMES  (4  to  6  Years)

Key board  games  is a private one on one course, geared towards children ages 4  to  6  years. In this program, we will work directly with your child to enhance their understanding of musical concepts, as well as begin a general transition to applying these skills to the piano. The course includes a consistent rotation between off bench activities as well as time spent at the piano. Students are exposed to various musical styles, instruments and techniques that will prepare them for their musical studies in the future. Classes are approximately 30 minutes in length., and the course runs for four weeks.

PIANO LESSONS (ages 7  and up) 

We offer private, one on one, piano lessons for children ages seven  and up.  Our lessons are the perfect combination of traditional learning practices with a little bit of extra flare. We focus on both the RMC (Royal Conservatory of Music) approach as well as a more contemporary style, where we adjust the program to fit the needs of the individual student. Each lesson includes proper technique as well as “off bench” learning experiences, where we incorporate movement in the form of game play.  Our lessons are perfect for children who are ready to learn the piano, but also want to have fun while doing it! Weekly lessons are 30 minutes in length.
